I am a human rights lawyer, advocate and activist and work on a full range of human rights issues -- primarily as a researcher and advocate.  I am particularly interested in the interdependence of human rights and find work on the right to health to be particularly emblematic of the indivisibility of human rights. I am also interested in how the criminal justice system is used as a tool of oppression of individuals and communities who are excluded from the protection of thes state and the parallel failure of the justice system to ensure justice and accountability for people who are targeted for violence, persecution and discrimination.  I have worked at Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, Physicians for Human Rights and  Drug Policy Alliance.
